This vessel was built in 2001 by Industries Ocean Inc. as the pilot boat Cote-Nord for the Laurentian Pilotage Authority. She was later sold to Le Groupe Ocean of Quebec, QC. In 2014, the Cote-Nord was repurposed as a tug and renamed Ocean Cote-Nord. It was relocated to Goderich, ON and docked ships there. In 2017, it returned to service as a pilot boat, and went back to work on the St. Lawrence River.
