This small tug was built in 1938 as the E. Smillie for the Canadian Dredge & Dock Company. In 1946 she was renamed Workboat No. 6. In 1990 she was sold to Bermingham Construction (later Berminghammer Foundation Equipment) of Hamilton, ON and renamed William. She sank off Fort Erie on Lake Erie in 1995 but was quickly raised and returned to service. In 2020 the tug was acquired by Soletanche Bachy Canada.
