This classic tug was built in 1928 by American Boiler Works in Erie, PA as the Tender 7 for the State of New York for service on the State Barge Canal. After a long and productive career on the canals, the Tender 7 was retired in the mid-2010s and was intentionally sunk in 2018 as an artificial reef in Long Island Sound off Smithtown, NY.
