This large z-drive tug was built in 2009 by East Isle Shipyard of Georgetown, PEI as the Stevns Icequeen for Nordane Shipping. She was later sold to Svitzer Sverige of Sweden and renamed Svitzer Njal. In 2015, the tug was transferred to Svitzer Canada of Halifax, NS. During summer, the Svitzer Njal worked at Baffin Island, Nunavut as an assist tug. During the remainder of the year she was based in Montreal. However, the tug was sold to Le Groupe Ocean of Quebec, QC in 2017.
