This tug was built in 1965 by Equitable Equipment of Madisonville, LA as the Vincent J. Robin IV for Robin International Towing of Harvey, LA. Crescent Towing & Salvage later acquired the tug, and renamed her Betty Smith. Sea Containers Inc. purchased the tug in 1991, and renamed her as the Seaco Enterprise. In 1997, she was acquired by the Bay Transportation Company of Tampa, FL and renamed Leo. The following year, Hvide Marine purchased the Leo, and her name was changed to Ybor. The Portland Tugboat Company of Portland, ME acquired the tug in 1999, where she was renamed Captain Sweet. The tug moved again in 2001, this time to McAllister Towing & Transportation of New York, NY, where she was renamed Susan McAllister. She was repowered in 2003, and spent the next decade working for McAllister. In 2015, the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, OH purchased the tug. She was renamed Michigan and began service on the Great Lakes, working as the Towing Company’s main vessel for long-distance tows.
