The Great Lakes Towing Company’s Maine was built in 1921 at their yard in Cleveland, OH. In 1982 she was renamed Saipan, and in 1983 she arrived in Tampa, FL for service under the name Hillsboro. She returned to the Lakes the following year, where the name Maine was restored. Maine was laid up by the Towing Company in the mid-2000’s, and is currently inactive at the Cleveland yard.
