This tug was built in 1963 by Main Iron Works as the Dixie Scout for Dixie Carriers. She was eventually acquired by Egan Marine of Lemont, IL, who replaced her original pilothouse with a retractable one for river barge service. She was also renamed Lisa E upon purchase by Egan.

Lisa E can be found working on the Illinois River system, including the Calumet River in Chicago.
