La Prairie

This tugboat was built in 1975 by Georgetown Shipyard of Georgetown, PEI as the La Prairie for the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority. In the early 2000s, she was acquired by Ocean Group of Quebec, QC.

The compact but useful La Prairie is based in Hamilton, ON, and provides ship assist services around Lake Ontario. During the winter months, she typically works around Montreal, QC as an icebreaker.
