This tug was built in 1911 by the Great Lakes Towing Company in Cleveland, OH as the Indiana for their subsidiary, Dunham Towing & wrecking of Chicago, IL. In 1926 she was transferred into the Towing Company’s main fleet. She was rebuilt into a diesel-electric tug in 1958. Indiana is currently based in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, where she performs ship assist work alongside her fleetmate Missouri.
