H.J. Dixon

This tug was the first State-class tug built by the Great Lakes Towing Company. She was built in 1907 at the Towing Company’s Chicago, IL yard as their own Abner C. Harding. In 1934 she was renamed Arkansas. She was sold to Toronto Towing & Salvage Company in 1949, who renamed the tug H.J. Dixon. H.J. Dixon was scrapped in 1965 in Hamilton, ON.
