This unique Voith-Schneider tractor tug was built in 1972 by Prince Edward Island Construction as the Grande Baie for the Aluminum Company of Canada of Port Alfred, QC. In 2007, she sank at her dock, and was sold the following year to Verreault Navigation Inc. of Les Mechins, QC. After a lengthy rebuild, she was returned to service in 2016.
The first Voith-Schneider tug built for North American operation, the Grande Baie works in Les Mechins to assist vessels at the Verreault Shipyard.
