Governor Roosevelt

This tug was built in 1928 by the Buffalo Marine Construction Corp. in Buffalo, New York as the Governor Roosevelt for their own use. It was sold to the State of New York in 1930 for use on the barge canal system. She was converted from steam to diesel, likely around 1971. The tug remains active on the canals today for the New York State Canal Corporation.
