Governor Cleveland

This classic tug was built in 1928 by the Buffalo Marine Construction Corp. in Buffalo, New York as their own Governor Cleveland. She was then sold to the State of New York in 1930. She was converted from steam to diesel power in 1971. Currently operating for the New York State Canal Corporation, the Governor Cleveland remains in service moving barges and handling bigger projects on the canals.
