Genesis Victory

This large tugboat was built in 1981 by Halter Marine as the Eric Candies for Otto Candies LLC. In 2005, she was acquired by Hornbeck Offshore Transportation, who renamed the tug Huron Service and fitted her with an upper wheelhouse. She was sold to Genesis Energy LP in 2013. In 2015, the tug was renamed Genesis Victory.

Genesis Victory works with the tank barge GM 6506 on the Great Lakes during Spring, Summer, and Fall. She can be found around Lake Erie, Huron, and Michigan carrying a variety of oil products.
