This tug was built in 1961 by P.K. Harris & Sons of Appledore, England as the Foundation Vibert for Foundation Maritime of Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1973 she was sold to Eastern Canada Towing, who renamed her Point Vibert. McKeil Marine of Hamilton, Ontario acquired the Point Vibert in 2006 and renamed her Florence M.

The tug was active for McKeil until late 2014, when she was laid up in Hamilton.
