This small tug was built in 1940 by Sturgeon Bay Shipbuilding of Sturgeon Bay, WI as the Holland for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She was later sold to Lakeshore Contractors and renamed Captain Roy. Brian Utilities Services later purchased the Captain Roy, and she eventually went to Lake Michigan Contractors. In the early 2000s she was acquired by a private owner in Muskegon, MI. In 2014 she joined the fleet of Great Lakes Dock and Materials, who renamed the tug Ethan George.
