This large tug was built in 1970 by Peterson Builders of Sturgeon Bay, WI as the USS Anoka (YTB-810) for the U.S. Navy. In 2001, she was decommissioned and sold civilian to McAllister Towing & Transportation of New York, NY, where she was renamed Missy McAllister. The Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, OH purchased the tug in 2015, renaming her Erie.
