This huge articulated tug was built in 2011 by DonJon Shipbuilding and Repair of Erie, Pennsylvania as the Ken Boothe Sr. for SeaJon LLC. SeaJon is a partnership between DonJon Marine and Seacor Holdings. Ken Boothe Sr. entered service in 2012 under a long-term lease to the American Steamship Company of Williamsville, NY. In 2017, the lease expired, and the tug was purchased by VanEnkevort Tug and Barge Inc. of Escanaba, MI, where she was renamed Clyde S. VanEnkevort.
The Clyde S. VanEnkevort is assigned to the large self-unloading barge Erie Trader, and is active in the dry bulk trades all across the Great Lakes.
