Cheyenne

This large canal tug was built in 1965 by Ira S. Bushey & Sons as the Glenwood for Red Star Towing. In 1970 she was renamed Cheyenne, and eventually she was sold to Spentonbush Towing. Amerada Hess later acquired the tug, and she spent a number of years under their service. Port Albany Ventures eventually purchased the Cheyenne, retaining her name. DonJon Marine of Hillside, NJ acquired the tug in 2009.

Cheyenne works in the towing and transportation trades on the East Coast, Erie Canal, and Great Lakes for DonJon, as one of the few tugs in the fleet that can use the Erie Canal to reach the Lakes.
