Breaker

This small tug was built in 1962 by the Toronto Drydock Company as the Breaker for Hydroelectric Power Commission of Ontario. She was later sold to the New York Power Authority, where she retained her name.

Breaker is used to break ice, and maintain the ice boom on the Niagara River during the winter months.
