The second tug to bear this name was built in 1981 by Hudson Shipbuilders as Captain Robbie for East Coast Tender. In 1990 she was sold and renamed Philip M. Pearse. Holly Marine Towing of Chicago, IL purchased the small tug in 1997 and renamed her Chris Ann. Sometime between 2005 and 2009, the Chris Ann was converted from a model-bow tugboat to a square-bow pushboat. In 2008, Holly Marine Towing went out of business and the Chris Ann was sold to King Company of Holland, MI. In 2009 she was put on a long-term charter to Calumet River Fleeting of Chicago and renamed Bonnie G. Selvick.

A busy tug, the versatile Bonnie G. Selvick is active in various types of work around the Calumet River, as well as general towing and transportation around Lake Michigan.
