This inland-style towboat was built in 1979 by Inland Marine as the Kathy Spivey for Spivey Marine & Harbor Service. She was later acquired by Garvey Marine Inc. The American River Transportation Company purchased the vessel in 2003, where she was repowered and renamed Bill Arnold.
