This small tug was built in 1967 by Fercraft Marine Inc. as the Boatman No. 4 for Montreal Boatmen. She was rebuilt in 1989, and in the 1990s she was acquired by the J.D. Irving Corporation and renamed Stenpro IV for work at Irving’s Steel & Engine Products repair yard in Liverpool, NS. She was eventually transferred to Atlantic Towing Limited and renamed Belle D for work in the Belledune, NB area. In the late 2000s, RMI Marine of Halifax, NS began to manage the tug.

Based in Halifax and managed by RMI Marine, the Belle D performs various jobs around Halifax harbor.
