This tug was built in 1969 by Saint John Shipbuilding & Drydock as the Irving Beech for Atlantic Towing Limited of Saint John, NB. In 1998, she was renamed Atlantic Beech.

The Atlantic Beech remains busy performing ship assist and towing jobs in and around Belledune, NB, and also works in long-distance towing and transportation around eastern Canada.
