This classic tugboat was built in 1909 by the Great Lakes Towing Company in Cleveland, OH as their own Yale. In 1949 the Yale was converted to diesel power, and renamed Arkansas. The Arkansas is the oldest State-class tug in service for the Towing Company, and is currently based in Duluth, MN, where she is used to assist ships.
