This tug was built in 1931 by the Great Lakes Towing Company in Cleveland, Ohio as their own Arizona. In 1955 she was converted to diesel power, and was later modified with an operating cab on a hydraulic boom for barge service in the Chicago area. This was eventually removed. Today the Arizona is stationed in Burns Harbor, IN, and assists ships in both Burns Harbor and Chicago.
