Albert C

This inland river towboat was built in 1971 by South Shore Marine as the Robert H. She was eventually acquired by Illinois Marine Towing of Lemont, IL and renamed Albert C.

Albert C works in the Lemont area of the Illinois River system, fleeting barges for IMT.

  1. Well walking over the Lamont Street bridge, my grandson nine years old waived some of the crew of the Albert.. they waved back 🙂 now this kid wants to know everything about the tugboat. He wants to see pictures of what it’s like inside, is there a kitchen is there a bathroom? How do we get more information? If not here, where?

    • It’s hard to find photos of the interior of a boat. I don’t think there are any of the Albert C online. I’m sure you could contact Illinois Marine Towing for info, though. I would guess there are multiple bathrooms and a kitchen onboard.
